Flat Panel or Recessed Wainscoting, also known as Shaker style paneling is one of our most popular design options and dates back to early American designs in the 19^th century.

It’s a simple look that can be found in many family oriented homes. Mission style and shaker style homes have made this application famous.

Flat panel wainscoting makes for a durable and long lasting wall protector. The paneling consists of stiles, rails and the panel. While the center panels of wainscoting extend away from the wall, the center panels of flat panel wainscoting are recessed.

This style of wainscoting generally extends from the floor to partway up the wall, then is topped with molding. We’ve taken this a step further and have extended it further up the wall to create a unique look.
