A gallery wall is a great way to add a bit of personality to your home. Just group photographs or art pieces (or a combination of both) into an interesting grouping to create an instant focal point to a room. You’ll be creating something that is unique to your home so have some fun with it.

The best part about the gallery walls is they don’t have to break the bank. Antique shops and flea markets can unearth some really cool paintings, drawings of vintage photographs. You can also mix in some family photographs for a personal touch. Art books are also a great source for instant art. Just find a book you like and pull out some choice pages. The interest is created in the grouping so there is less focus on the quality of an individual piece.

You can either go symmetrical if you have the patience for measuring and leveling or you can  hang things randomly. We recommend laying out the pieces on the floor ahead of time so you try it all out before you commit to pounding a few nails.

Here are some good examples of different types of gallery walls.  Which ones do you like?
